The Saint Paul Conservatory of Music

Company Overview

The Saint Paul Conservatory of Music (SPCM) has provided high-quality music education to the Twin Cities community since 1985. Originally founded as part of the University of St. Thomas School of Music, The SPCM became an independent non-profit community music school in June of 2001. The organization has earned a reputation as a premier community music school dedicated to serving the greater Twin Cities east metro area, employing widely respected professional musicians in the Twin Cities. Since becoming an independent organization, the SPCM has broadened its mission as a community music school by offering educational outreach and performance programming that is increasingly accessible to the broader community. The SPCM abides by the National Association for Music Education and State of Minnesota standards in music education and classroom curriculum initiatives. The SPCM has a current budget of $602K, a distinguished faculty of 50 serving 222 students. The SPCM currently leases space in a historic church on St. Paul’s Summit Avenue and is involved in an ongoing search for a permanent home.
