Celebrating its 20th Anniversary Season, Symphony San Jose is a premier arts organization committed to the communities of San Jose and the Bay Area. Founded in 2002 as Symphony Silicon Valley, the organization has built its own artistic and inclusive identity through a broad range of popular programs. Repertory featured includes symphonic classics, contemporary discoveries, films with live orchestral accompaniment, and music education programs. The Symphony’s nationally recruited and locally based artists are recognized as among the best in the Bay Area. A feature of the Symphony is that the podium is shared by a select roster of distinguished guest conductors. The Symphony is an anchor tenant of San Jose’s magnificently restored downtown California Theatre, one of Northern California’s most outstanding music halls.

Benefits include paid parking, up to four weeks of paid vacation per year, fully paid medical insurance (employee), and optional dental, vision, and family medical insurance available but paid by employee.

Symphony San Jose utilizes a flexible work schedule, with employees choosing between a combination of a flex (choose-your-hours), hybrid (partial in-office, partial remote), and/or compressed (four-day workweek) schedule. Occasional evenings and weekends required to staff Symphony San Jose performances and events.
