Francis Marion University and the School of Business invite applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Marketing. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and research in a liberal arts setting. Francis Marion University is AACSB accredited at the undergraduate and MBA level.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Teaching Principles of Marketing and one or more of the following: Marketing Communications, Digital Marketing, Digital Marketing Analytics, Personal Selling, or Sports Marketing.
- Performing scholarly activities and maintaining an active research program.
- Participating in faculty governance by serving on department/university committees.
- Providing academic advising for students during registration.
- Conducting additional academic and professional services as needed by the department.
Requirements
This position is a standard nine-month, tenure-track academic contract (August-May) with the opportunity to teach additional courses during the summer. Internal funding for travel, research, and summer research stipends are available on a competitive basis.

FMU Requirements: An earned doctorate in Marketing from an AACSB accredited university desired but ABD candidate with a definite completion date and scholarly growth potential will be considered. Some teaching experience is desired.
